International and domestic flights at Khartoum International Airport resumed on October 27.

The United Nations is assured that staff of the United Nations and international non-governmental organizations can enter/leave Sudan.

Humanitarian partners advocate speeding up the clearance, release and safe transportation of all humanitarian supplies into and across Sudan.

In Khartoum, movement was restricted due to roadblocks. According to reports, the situation in other parts of Sudan is calm. Most of the Internet networks across the country have been shut down, but mobile phones have been backed up. Humanitarian organizations are monitoring the situation and are preparing to respond over the weekend.

According to data from the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) and the Committee of Doctors, the number of confirmed cases of moderate to severe injuries (170) and 7 deaths in Khartoum Hospital remained unchanged in the past 24 hours.

Humanitarian partners support FMoH by presetting emergencies in health facilities. This includes trauma supplies, surgical and anesthesia supplies, kits, dressings and blood supplies. In the past few days, these supplies have been distributed to 14 hospitals in Khartoum State. The ambulance system in Khartoum is being strengthened. Although the level of preparation in Khartoum is adequate, there are still gaps in various states in Sudan, worrying about trauma materials, essential medicines, blood banks, and lack of stocks of ambulances. Basic supplies for dealing with gender-based violence, such as dignity kits, feminine hygiene products, and rape treatment. Toolkits are available at Khartoum and state levels and are ready to be distributed to disadvantaged women and girls as part of an emergency distribution coordinated with partners. In some states, stocks are limited.

On October 27, the Civil Aviation Administration issued an official notice (NOTAM) to the pilots, announcing the cancellation of the previous notice issued at 13:00 on October 26, 2021. The new airport announced the reopening of all airports in Sudan from 10:38 pm on October 27, 2021. A commercial flight took off and took off on October 28, and another flight is planned today. There will be UNHAS flights on October 26th and October 28th, and flights are scheduled for Sunday.

The road from Port Sudan to other parts of the country is still blocked. The Heavy Transport Chamber of Commerce has sent a letter to all transporters, don’t go this way. The container terminal in Port Sudan remains closed.

The UN tanker loaded yesterday could not be shipped out of Port Sudan. The United Nations has failed to replenish its fuel stocks in some places. According to reports, most places still have two weeks of inventory. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) notified on October 28 that the Ministry is processing UN/Diplomatic passports as usual. For non-diplomatic/ordinary passports, according to the usual procedures, the Ministry of the Interior is still the contact point. In the event of complications and delays, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is willing to help. According to reports, the Joint Procedure Center of the Humanitarian Affairs Commission is operating for movement within Sudan.
