This year we all spend more time on sports and casual clothing. As the New Year approaches, many people are setting new fitness and health goals to get rid of the adverse effects of 2020 and welcome a positive atmosphere. SheWarrior is here to help you achieve these goals and maintain the right mindset. This clothing company was founded by Natrine Jones, the "other half" of boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. SheWarrior is designed for strong women with inner and outer fighting spirit. Whether you are hanging out or exercising, SheWarrior's collection can provide you with interesting camouflage sports bras, matching leggings, block print sweatshirts, "fighter" vests and classic compression shorts. Each piece is made to order in the United States using upgraded recycled plastic bottles. SheWarrior is one of the most sustainable sports brands on the planet. I spoke with Natlyn Jones to learn more about this innovative brand design designed by women and for women. 2020 is a very fulfilling year, and everyone's daily life looks very different. Why launch a sports and leisure brand now? NJ: Actually I have the idea of launching SheWarrior before 2020! As an independent brand, it is definitely a challenge to tide over the difficulties this year. Before the pandemic hit, I had started to integrate things together, so fortunately, when our daily life was disrupted, I had already done a good soft start. Even with all the changes, I am still going forward because I really believe in our brand and our message, especially since so many of us stay at home, dress comfortably, and look for creative ways to stay healthy while taking care of our mental health. . Can you talk about the inspiration behind SheWarrior and why the foundation of this business is so important in today's world? NJ: The inspiration behind SheWarrior comes from the fighting spirit of all of us, especially women. I saw that many of us, including myself, took on too many roles and became a support system for many people around us, in addition to trying to deal with our own struggles. I see that we are broken but not destroyed in seemingly insurmountable obstacles. In today's world, I think that as we are all sailing in this new normal, celebrating our strength and inner warrior is as important as ever. What is your background in fitness and clothing? What attracted you to the concept of SheWarrior? NJ: I have loved fitness and fashion all my life. Before launching SheWarrior, I opened my own training institution and worked as a personal trainer for several years. As the years went by, I became more and more involved in my husband's boxing career, including managing and designing fighting clothing. After he retired, I helped manage and improve our boxers. In the process, I fell in love with the sport and put on a pair of boxing gloves. I have been training in the boxing gym ever since. In the boxing gym, I thought about how good it would be to wear a brand that represents both strength and femininity; a brand whose name immediately speaks to women. There are many sportswear brands, but few (if any) include strength and femininity in their names and products. So I created the brand I want to wear-a brand that truly captures these qualities.

When I was training in the boxing gym, the concept continued to evolve and surpassed the boxing ring. Of course, when you fight in the ring, you will find the will and heart to compete. As an athlete, you will try to surpass yourself and achieve your goals despite the obstacles. I find that women do a lot of the same things in life. I want a brand that supports women in all aspects-their goals and achievements, no matter what they are, I hope SheWarrior truly celebrates their journey. This is not always easy, but a strong female mutual support system is indeed priceless. I think SheWarrior is a brand that represents and respects this. What is one of your favorite looks in SheWarrior and how do you feel when you wear it? NJ: One of my favorite looks in SheWarrior is the Round One Leopard suit. It is bold, fierce, and unapologetic! When I put on that set, I felt confident, strong, beautiful, and ready to jump into the ring. The stretch of the high waist and the increased abdominal control are amazing. When I want to be bold, it is definitely a print I grabbed. SheWarrior has a sustainable aspect. Why is this important to you when you create a brand? NJ: This was one of the biggest challenges in finding a manufacturer in the early days. I am very excited about the company we have found-we have successfully established a partnership that is good for consumers and the planet. Each piece is ordered locally in the U.S., made using upgraded recycled plastic bottles, and we use non-aqueous dyeing technology for printing. Make-to-order production ensures that we do not add backlogs to landfills, and we work locally to minimize transportation waste. For me, being aware of our environment is very important. This is the only place where we and our families must live. I believe that if we take good care of it, the environment will take care of us. Focusing on being as sustainable as possible is important to all of us, and I want my brand to have a positive impact as much as possible. What do you have to say to people who are struggling to gain momentum during this pandemic? You would think that with these "extra" hours, it would be easier to spend an hour a day exercising, but this is not always the case. NJ: My message to those who are trying to get motivated is to start small, and more importantly, don't be too harsh on yourself. It seems like it should be easier to stay at home for an hour, but it's usually easier said than done. As humans, we all deal with things in different ways, and that's okay. Especially in the past year, we have been constantly negatively affected by news and social media. If you read everything and really concentrate, the world may throw endless worries at you, so it is difficult to turn off this noise. Then you have the daily changes that we all have to deal with, which is exhausting mentally and physically. Therefore, when looking for motivation, start small. Instead of an hour, just do it for ten minutes, and try to add an extra glass of water to your diet every day. From there, add slowly, but don't feel bad, know that you are not alone. As SheWarrior continues to develop and enter families across the country, what is your goal for the brand in the next five years? What major milestones do you hope to achieve? NJ: In the next five years, I hope that SheWarrior will become a global brand that inspires women to achieve their goals in any field they choose, knowing that they are fierce and unstoppable villains! I hope to have an inspiring online image and physical retail image. I hope SheWarrior provides women with high-quality sportswear. These sportswear look good, feel good, and are a brand they can trust and be proud of. To learn more about SheWarrior, visit iamshewarrior.com.
