Norderstedt, Germany, October 19, 2021 / B3C News Line / - Cellbox Solutions GmbH is expanding its product portfolio: Cellbox Solutions Packaging has now joined the CBS Natural 3D suite. Innovative new products include CBS Transport Gel and CBS Easy Release solutions.

CBS Transport Gel is UPM's nano-fibrillar cellulose-based hydrogel, which can provide an artificial extracellular matrix for culturing 3D cell cultures in an optimal environment. To supplement the transport gel, Cellbox Solutions also offers the CBS Easy Release mix to dissolve the hydrogel in a cell-friendly way. This highly efficient product portfolio facilitates the transportation of the most complex and sensitive cell cultures and makes it possible to easily recover materials after transportation.

Cellbox Solutions has not only established a unique transportation technology for living cells. In cooperation with UPM Biomedicals, its CBS Naturally-3D Kit also provides a plant-derived and animal-free transportation solution.

"The 3D cell culture market continues to grow strongly-so we are seeing more and more customers looking for special transportation options," said Dr. Corné Swart, Executive Director of Business Development and Global Sales at Cellbox Solutions. "Cellbox Solutions clearly recognizes the needs and has taken a forward-looking approach. With the help of CBS Naturally-3D Kit and UPM Biomedicals, we are very happy to now provide our customers with environmentally friendly products designed precisely for this purpose."

"Cellbox Solutions and UPM Biomedicals are establishing a new standard for living cell transportation and transportation through the CBS Naturally-3D kit," said Tony Kiuru, business development manager at UPM Biomedicals. "We are proud of the results and happy to support Cellbox Solutions in realizing their vision."
